Maybe a nice idea to start a topic where we can whine and/or brag about the First Chill Championship:)
Thanks, Kaneyashi. You know what I'm gonna complain about.
I got -15 on Blue Water in round 1 (a new record, I might add), which placed me 7th, good enough for round 2 qualification. But I got a bogey on hole 15, where I could have gotten an alba! Grr! I used Duostar pills, and still missed toma twice! Grr! I could have made 2nd, I could have really boosted my record, I could have had an Ama1 bronze; I'm so annoyed with myself! Grr!
Okies, rant over. I couldn't have done much about it, and considering the competition, I did pretty well. See you in round 2!

Mind if I join in? :lol: Even though I'm not even in the tournament.
Well I just want to rant about the tournament schedules being on weekdays. That's why I decided not to join. Why can't it be on weekends? :angry:It mixes up with my school schedule.

What a nightmare!:oops:
Okey...I made it, but not without damage:lol:
Hole 4: I missed pangya and overshot the green. To make things worse I ended up next to a darn tree. bogey:oops:
Hole 5: Big mistake...thought I would make the green without a toma, but ended up in the rough and had to settle with a birdie.
Hole 6: Bad wind and a missed pangya...bunker...par:lost:
Hole 10: Good toma, but missed the 14y put...par:oops2:
Hole 12: Didn't want to risk an OB, so I played it safe...birdie.
Hole 15: Phew! made it over...alba:party:
Ended up with -17...4th place, so I can't complain, but it wasn't a fantastic round for me.
Probably nerves:p

Well done all. got myself a nice third position got a o.b and missed a easy birdie putt. But it was fun and a great event. Nice work GOA.
But it could be great if you were the only one that could create rooms in the server. Sure it could be done.

Thanks, although, it's only gonna get harder. I really need to pick up my game before next week. Thankfully I only have one Quantum Mechanics lecture and that's it for the day, so I can practice my heart out, plus a full weekend before.

Well done Monk:cry4: I got through too i came 4th but i was a little disapointed because i didnt get a AMA 1 trophey due to only being 17 people in tourney buy eh GOA let me in the tourney and i am so thankfull for that. I would like to say a big thankyou to Diune and Moonhide for letting me compete in the tourney (numpty here didn't register correctly:lost:)
I will see you guys in the next round and well done everyone who made it through:cry4:

Oh I forgot to make a screenshots but I'm beat my own record -15 in Amatuer 2, hit bogey once and triple bogey :(. I'm place myself in 6th place and yeah cya next round.
I see a bunch of other qualifying players in munk's group that I recognise: Mc_Grooby, tasikilee, mauve, monyk, NekoSamba...I actually recognise more Ama+ than I do my own rank. Although, it's kind of obvious why that might be.
Well, congrats to all who made it, commiserations to those who didn't, extra congrats to TigerDudds who got in at the last minute and see you in round 2!

I wanted to say a big thanks for joining the event. It was a lot of fun and I am really glad that you guys enjoyed it as well. We had to reorganise some rooms and we even let those people join who missed their earlier session.
If you saw players with higher ranks in a junior/senior room (e.g. amateur in a junior/senior room) that was because those people registered in the right place but in the meantime they gained a level.
We will announce the results and the roster for the second round pretty soon. Once again, those of you who got into the second round make sure you check your roster to avoid confusion.

My second round wasn't good enough:oops:
Rain on hole 2 (not my favorite hole anyway) badly misjudged. I ended up way short for a nasty long downhill put. Even though I'm a good putter, I didn't had a clue and missed...par.
Hole 18...nice 5 wind'...good toma, but the ball jumped out after a freak bounce....eagle instead of alba.

Fierce competition, but no great scores...the winner had -23 and second to fifth -22

Very shame to me I got Double bogey in Hole 4 Par 5 and dead last too.
14th for me, a very bad run. I got -16, where -21 (I should have easily got that) would have guaranteed a 3rd round spot. Oh, well, maybe next year.
