Firstly, i realise many people are having the same issue, but theirs seem to have been solved within a few attempts.
For about 4 hours i've been downloading, reinstalling, deleting, re-downloading and so on, it must have been about 500 times and i am still constantly getting Checking...
The first time i installed it, everything worked okay...Until i left the downloader at around 35% and had to go out, so closed the comp...after that i had my initial "checking..." issue, read on the forums what to do, did them all and still have the issue.
Any other ways to fix this? Or just keep downloading, installing deleting, repeat...Until it works.

I had the same problem, but it works now all of the sudden, and i did nothing... So i'm pretty sure it's related to thier servers.

The servers went offline for a bit over the weekend for reasons i dont know which is why you got stuck on checking.
They are back on, so you should be able to get on now.

Are u using vista? then u might have to switch it to run as admin
A had same problem and I'm using Win7.
I just left my client open and left out and after few hours it started to download.
It looks like server was off, so just leave it on and hen server is up again it will start downloading!
guys i got same problem but u dont must doing nothing.. i mean just run downoader and w8... if after 5 minutes its still checking turn off it and run once again... and that should help if it stil checking run 3th time :) it work for me :)

Yes, it must have been related to the servers, it appears to work now, only got stuck on the "Checking..." section for around 30 seconds, which, compared to several hours, i'm happy to live with :lol:
Can't wait to play now, i've been waiting on CB for ages xD

I download with launcher tomorrow :D Today server WE maybe is dead xD Many people want have game on their computer :D
I get this aswell.. it seems to be stuck at checking...
Servers down now or something? :S

TBH, i find it kind of lacking that there is no server update news from some representative.
Maybe something for the webbie some serverstatus pane ? ;)
Oh and the amazing DL speed of 20-30KB/s ?
Yeah! A webpage indicator "Server is OFFLINE / ONLINE" would be nice :)
