what do u think? is it a good thing or a bad thing?
Personally, i hate it at all fronts.
Mainly because only the French channel is actually being used, forcing me to listen to people spamming me with french questions just because they assume i'm french too...
The thing i wanna say is: this is Pangya EUROPE, and by having 4 channels linked to 4 countries in such a continent as europe seems a bit odd.
To me it "looks" like Pangya France more than Pangya Europe.
I dont mean to offend GOA in any way, but the fact that countries are seperated in such a way like this seems a bit awkward...
Still, i like the game, service and all, but just wanted to get rid of this tiny bit of frustration.
My apologies if i have offended any french people, like i said it's not my point to offend anyone.

Yes it's seem this game should called Pangya Europe and yes it should be better to people to move to english server.
Like i have posted about before. Have to say many more french people are cool about it. An many have no problems to type in english. Even the german server is not that bad either. So maybe start thinking about having 2 servers to join like in alba. No country name. Europe only. There is not many borders left in europe today. And should not be that in pangya either.

Yup not all french refuse to talk english, some french players are cool, i agree on that.
I dont get why they even run 4 channels in VS and Tournament, only French is used a lot and german a bit...the other two are empty 9 out of 10 times.
So yes, how about 2 channels that are just plain europe-orientated...
I dont mind that ppl talk french to me at first, i can understand it slightly...but some ppl just refuse to understand what i mean with "I'm not french, so please talk english".
English channels would be better, everyone can speak english, wether its good and understandable or just rubbish...at least it makes some sense...maybe then i can finally understand what the compliments mean that i receive during games...well..if they are compliments that is...cus i have no idea what some ppl are saying o.0
Hello there,
I understand your arguments for international channels, but you must see, that it is very important for a lot of players to enjoy the games in their respective language - and that includes talking in that language while playing.
And for that reason, it's important to us that we give players an opportunity to do so, thus the separate channels.
You are more than welcome, however, to play with folks from all over Europe on our servers and the current setup of channels allows both types of players to enjoy it their way :)
Regards
Can we get an Open channel too then, for those of us who like to mix with the riff raff of the world be be social! And learn about different cultures and then beat them a 260 yard chip in?? ^^

Hello there,

In that case, please add a channel for:
Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Austria, Switserland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Greece, Romania, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark etc...i think they like to play while talking in their own language as well :o
Seems to me the game is more focussed on 3 countries that just have a decent amount of players playing here...leaving other players behind from a certain point of view, almost forcing them to play in French or German server and talk some sort of language they find hard to master...
Whenever i get home to relax i like a nice game pangya, but to be honest, i can't last longer than 1 Tournament cus the french talk drives me nuts, sometimes 1 or 2 players can talk english. And of course, then the games can be nice, but having to listen to foreign languages for about 40 minutes makes me say "Ok, enough for now..."
i have a brother that know diddly about english. the only language he can is swedish. So i had to go trough everything with him. what it all means. It say for the european countries. but thats not true. its only for 4 countries. Language wise of course. Make a mixed channel. For you to make one should not be a problem. and if it fails to be filled up. yeah then we are wrong. And you can all laugh at us. But then again the french server is very mixed.
And in the future. Try to translate the game in to more languages. That would surely make more people to play it. Not everyone can speak english-french-spanish-italien. And i know its all about money in the end. But could be cool though. And tons of text is there not to be changed i can see.

Personally this is my idea, lower the server caps for each of the 4 Current servers and Create a new Open server this way the countries that are not caterered for at the moment ie: italy, poland, sweden etc etc etc have somewhere they can play freely without having to read nothing but french, it's a good idea i dont see why u guys dont implement it, all makes sense to me.
Too many drinks = Edit post.
Use the Brit Server, its pretty pointless at the moment!
Also the Brits are the most friendly of all the nations and English is the most common language ect ect
Vote Bud, you know it makes sense!

Im pretty sure the brits wouldnt mind the british server to be changed to an OPEN server, if it brings more people together then that cant be a bad thing surely?!

I copy that m8.
Why would british people care if they have to talk in a server with a Brittisch flag or an European flag? i mean, it's english after all.
I like your idea of lowering server caps so people HAVE to play on other servers...and well, if u get more players than servers can handle you raise the cap a bit...
Since i've had pretty much experience with hosting servers for MMO's...yes it did include pangya some time ago too...i know how these things work.
It's just as simple as changing 1 number either in a text-file or in a SQL Table...that'll be a matter of 2 seconds...easier then implenting new items ingame...so should be possible.

GOA.COM only supports English, French, German & Spanish.
As for the rest, your ideas have been duly noted and passed on to my higher ups :)

Then i dont get one thing...
Why the hell do u call it pangya EUROPE then?
Europe refers to EVERY country located in the continent "Europe".
Not just France, UK, Germany and Spain.
I'm starting to feel worse about the fact that i donated to GOA every single day...it's totally not what i expected it to be.

English, French, German and Spanish are the four main (i.e. most widespread) languages in Europe and most people in Europe now enough of one of those to get around.
You need to add at least five full-time employees per extra language, so I'm sure you realise that this isn't economically viable. :)

I think an "Open server" would be economically doable, no?
As you know only the french server is really used, so why not use channels like:
1. Open Channel (English)
2. French Channel (French)
that way you need 2 employees which is cheaper and it doesn't make ppl quit playing after 1 tournament of french spam which annoys the crap out of non-french players.
I'll be honest on this...IF i play on GOA Pangya i dont last longer than 18 holes cus french talk all the time just drives me mad...cus, well maybe it sounds weird, but french isn't my strongest language...
I apologise for that, everyone in the world should be able to speak french of course, its one of the main languages, or isn't it?
I find it more important to be able to talk english but i'm afraid most of our French friends don't think about it that way...

I never said you should speak French, I just pointed out that most people in Euope talk one of these language to some extent.

Yay... I'm from Sweden. And I play on the french servers just because I want to have someone to play with.
I argue for merging all the servers... and releasing season three already!
