MEDALS & POINTS
By winning, athletes win medals and points.
When an athlete or a team of athletes wins a medal in a discipline, the medal goes to the community they represent.
But beyond the obvious pleasure of winning a medal for you community, each type of medal is worth a certain number of points:
A gold medal is worth 224 points
A silver medal is worth 112 points
A bronze medal is worth 56 points
When an athlete wins a medal, he personally earns a share of the total value of the medal. This share is equal to the total value of the medal divided by the number of athletes on the team. Each athlete can give the points he wins to the European country of his choice. This mean every country has a chance to shine!
Players will be asked to choose which country they want to represent when they join their linguistic community's delegation and register for specific disciplines. Please note that once a country has been chosen, it cannot be changed.
Examples:
Olav is an English-speaking player from Norway and a member of the English Gunbound - Bunge team. He and his three team-mates fight hard and manage to win a gold medal. The gold medal goes to the English-speaking community, and each of the four-team mates gets 56 points (224 split four ways). Olav decides to give his points to Norway!
Silvio is a French-speaking player from Italy and a member of the French Kart n' Crazy Peacock's Forest Speed Team. He and his seven team-mates do great a win a gold medal. The silver medal goes to the French-speaking community, and each of the eight team-mates gets 14 points (112 split eight ways). Silvio decides to give his points to Italy!
Hans is a German-speaking player from Austria and competes in the Pangya Blue Lagoon Individual Tournament. Six other players represent the German-speaking community in that discipline, but medals are won individually. Hans does great and gets a bronze medal after beating twenty-five players! The bronze medal goes to the German-speaking community, and Hans wins the whole 56 points of the bronze medals... which he gives to Austria!
